Stirring of high‒viscosity products
In a Newtonian fluid the viscosity is only a function of the temperature. With non‒Newtonian products the viscosity is additionally a function of the shear rate generated by the stirring tool. In case of rheologically complicated substances with a high‒viscosity and a poor flow the dispersion process cannot be performed satisfactorily with dissolver disc alone. With these applications the use of a scraper or combination of dispersion tools is required.
